When our son Finn was born in 2011, I searched for black and white images to hang on the walls of his nursery. I had read that high-contrast images aided in babies vision and brain development and that babies loved looking at them. I couldn't seem to track down the type of simple, attractive, eye-catching graphics I was looking for. As a designer and illustrator, I decided to make my own. I started with basic shapes and then tried combinations to make them even more interesting. For the first iteration, I cut out a simple circle shape with scissors and attached them to the wall next to Finn's changing table. He loved them and would also watch them spin from the mobile hung above his crib. Friends and family commented on how cool they were. Soon we partnered with another family (and close friends) to test and improve the design. And that's how Gigglespots were born!

We're excited to be on this adventure, and hope that you and your baby have as much fun enjoying Gigglespots as we did creating them.
