<![CDATA[Gigglespots: Fun, engaging black + white designs for babies - Blog]]>Tue, 29 Jul 2025 02:42:39 -0700Weebly<![CDATA[Stick your Gigglespots and save your paint]]>Thu, 04 Apr 2013 17:55:03 GMThttp://www.gigglespots.com/blog/stick-your-gigglespots-and-save-your-paint If self-adhesive strips are a little too aggressive for your painted surfaces, you can always use a strip of felt pinned in place to hold your Gigglespots.  Another trick involves sticking a piece of Drafting tape to your wall before sticking the adhesive strip.  This reduces the agression of the adhesive that comes in contact with the walls.  On some walls and painted surfaces, even Drafting tape can be strong enough to pull paint off so be careful and test in an inconspicuous area first.  

Painter's tape is also an option but can be more aggressive than Drafting tape, and only comes in blue.  Even painter's tape can pull paint off walls if left on for more than 24 hours.

Peel and stick Velcro is not a good option in many situations.  For irregular shapes and locations you'd like to stick your Gigglespots, Velcro strapping can come in handy.  The straps are intended for cable and wire management but they work perfectly to create a stickable strip on a stroller, carseat, highchair, and many more places.  You can pick them up from Amazon or just about any household goods store.  Make sure you get the ones with the fuzzy exterior.  
]]><![CDATA[Sticking your spots]]>Mon, 11 Mar 2013 22:09:34 GMThttp://www.gigglespots.com/blog/sticking-your-spotsEach Gigglespot comes with a 1/2" Velcro (Hook and Loop) fastener on the back.  We've made this fastener the "hook" side so it will stick to as many surfaces as possible.  Each set of Gigglespots comes with 12" of "loop-side" self-adhesive tape to get you started.  If you'd like to order more of the self-adhesive velcro tape, click this link to Amazon for a ton of suggestions.  

Keep in mind that you only need the "loop" side of the tape to hang your Gigglespots but it's tricky to find loop-only velcro unless you order a larger quantity.  ]]>
